The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India’s leading professional society dedicated to the advancement of Science and Technology in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, and Information Technology. Established in 1953, IETE is recognized by the Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and as an Educational Institution of National Eminence.

IETE serves more than 1,25,000 members, including corporate, student, and ISF members, through 64 centres across India and abroad. The Institution provides leadership in scientific and technical areas of national importance, contributing to India’s technological and economic development. Its objectives focus on promoting electro-technology and enhancing engineering education through workshops, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and publications. IETE also supports continuing education and career advancement programs to foster professional growth and innovation in related fields.

Vision: Our vision is to elevate the standard of engineering education by fostering a dynamic learning environment that encourages continuous growth and innovation. We aim to counsel students on emerging opportunities and promote hands-on learning through workshops, projects, and seminars. By focusing on enhancing technical and professional skills beyond classrooms, we prepare young engineers to excel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Mission: Enhancing the quality of engineering education by providing guidance and support to students in exploring emerging career opportunities. Promoting and inspiring learning beyond the classroom through workshops, projects, and seminars. Emphasizing the holistic development of young students by strengthening their technical knowledge, professional competence, and innovative thinking

• Priority for publishing their papers in Journal of Education.
• Can also subscribe for other publications such as IETE Journal of Research and IETE Technical Review (available online).
• ISF students are welcome to attend IETE technical programs in India at reduced Regn. Fees.

Major Activities:

IETE Chapter includes organizing technical programs, workshops, seminars, and special lectures to advance the fields of electronics, telecommunication, and information technology. These initiatives are designed to help students, foster collaborations with industry, and improve the quality of engineering education.

• To plan, organize Technical Programs, Special Lectures, Workshops, Seminars Symposia, exhibitions for the benefit of students.
• To provide common platform for students to exchange of ideas in technical topics of interest, e.g., curriculum, employment, higher educational opportunities, emerging trends, etc.
• To facilitate technical visits, project works, employment, contact with industries and academic institutions.
• Encourage team spirit and self-reliance among student members.
• ISFs should be a catalyst for the overall growth in technical and professional skills in young students.
